A mum consultation is your personal design session with Mindy — a dedicated 30-minute appointment where we dive deep into all the details that make your mum uniquely you. Whether you know exactly what you want or you're starting from scratch, we're here to guide you every step of the way!​

A consultation ensures that your mum is exactly what you're envisioning before we start building. We'll talk through your ideas, explore options, answer all your questions, and create a detailed design plan that you'll use when placing your order. No surprises, no guessing, just a clear vision that becomes reality.

Important: Parent/Guardian Attendance Required

At least ONE (1) parent or guardian MUST be present at your mum consultation. This is our policy for all students — whether you're ordering a Peewee mum or an Extraordinary Mega Mum.

For Seniors: $35 Upfront with $35 Code to apply to the final order

Every Senior Mum package includes a consultation! Here's how it works:

1. Pay $35 upfront to book your 30-minute consultation appointment

1. Attend your consultation (in-person or Zoom, with at least one parent/guardian present)

1. Receive your $35 code at the end to apply directly to your Senior Mum order

Your consultation is essentially free — the $35 upfront fee is offset by the $35 code you'll use when placing your order. Plus, you get the full VIP design experience!

• Extended customization options on all Senior packages

For Underclassmen: $35 Non-Refundable Consulting Fee

Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors

​

Consultations are available for a one-time $35 non-refundable fee.

This fee is a consulting appointment fee and does NOT apply as a credit or discount toward your mum order.

Why Get a Consultation?

A consultation is a great investment! You'll get personalized guidance, explore all your options, and leave with a detailed design plan so you order with complete confidence. Many underclassmen customers tell us it's totally worth it!

 

Underclassmen Consultation Includes:

• Personalized 30-minute design session

• Help exploring color options (school colors included; specialty color upgrades available)

• Guidance on package selection and customization

• Complete design plan with detailed notes

• Payment and timeline information

• Access to color samples and reference materials

What You Need to Know

• Duration: 30 minutes (most consultations take 25-35 minutes depending on your questions)

• Required Attendees: Your student + at least ONE parent or guardian

• Optional Attendees: Friends are welcome to join and offer ideas!

• Availability: Consultations are available December through July

We recommend booking early — slots fill up quickly as we approach homecoming season (July-Aug). If you're ordering a Senior Mum, book by mid-July at the latest to ensure your spot in our production queue.

• Inspiration photos (Pinterest boards, Instagram posts, other mums you love — anything that inspires you!)

• Ideas about your student's personality & interests (activities, sports, clubs, hobbies, achievements)

• Your budget (so we can talk about package options that work for you)

• Any questions you have (nothing is off-limits!)

• Portfolio examples of finished mums organized by style and school

How to Prepare

1.  Start thinking about style — Do you want classic school spirit vibes or something bold and unique?

2. Gather inspiration — Save photos of mums you love to your phone or create a Pinterest board

3. Think about activities — What sports, clubs, or interests should be represented?

4. Discuss budget with your family — We have options at every price point!

5. Have your school colors ready — Know your school's exact colors or bring them with you

6. Ideas of Specialty colors. We offer Light Pink, Hot Pink, Aqua, Champagne Lavender. Mint, Quartz (Rose Gold).

Once your consultation is complete, you'll have:

1. A detailed design plan — Notes about colors, cutouts, customization, and special touches

2. Package information — Know exactly what's included in your mum

3. Pricing & payment options — Clear understanding of your total cost and payment flexibility

4. Timeline — Know when your mum will be ready for pickup

5. For seniors: Your $35 code — Ready to apply to your order (underclassmen won't have a code, since the consultation fee is separate)
