Homecoming Traditions

L.D. Bell students are known for bold Navy blue and Columbia blue mum designs with silver sparkling accents. LD Bell has a unique tradition different from most high schools where traditionally sophomores wear columbia blue and white mums/garters. Juniors wear navy and white mums/garters and seniors wear white and silver or custom colors. However this tradition is starting to change we’re sophomores and juniors are starting to mix the two blues together with white and silver and seniors still follow the above trend with some adding in specks of blue throughout their mums/garters. Many Raider mums include raider mascots custom cutouts, trinkets, and bells throughout worn during pep rallies and the homecoming game.

Senior mums are often extra large with layered ribbon braids and personalized trinkets and charms celebrating their final homecoming.
